Richard Hatch is an internationally
known actor, teacher and speaker who has sustained

The Streets of San Francisco (for which

an Emmy Award), and Battlestar Galactica

Award). Richard is also an author of five original
Battlestar Galactica novels!
And his next project, The Great War of Magellan,
is underway. Learn

Note: The Richard Hatch of this site is not related
to the winner of CBS-TV's first Survivor show.
Additionally, Richard is not participating in the new
SCI-FI Channel Battlestar Galactica mini-series
which is a re-imagining (remake) of the original show,
not a continuation as fans had hoped for.

Arrival: Some time
in 2003. Publisher: (not cited in release)
From the authors:
The official title will be "Saga of a Star World: The Unofficial Battlestar Galactica Companion." The authors anticipate it to be 300 pages (that is debatable and depends on the cast and crew's cooperation), containing a foreword by series creator Glen A. Larson, an introduction by Richard Hatch, interviews and recollections of the time on the set, and the background including Terminology, a comparison to Star Wars, the Nielsen ratings, as well other fascinating topics in the Battlestar Galactica Universe.
The projected cost is $15 (U.S.), but that can change depending on how many pages the book is. Details on purchasing the book directly from either author will be made available when more is known.
The authors are also seeking non-copyrighted Battlestar Galactica images (photos) to include in their work. If you are interested in providing any, please contact BattlestarGalactica.com or BattlestarPegasus.com. Your message will be relayed directly to the authors (and ONLY on this topic).
The fourth Battlestar
Galactica novel from Richard Hatch, "Rebellion,"
is available! The fifth book, "Paradise,"
is due mid-2003!

Richard discusses his
undying love for science fiction, plus some
of his future plans in this new interview.
Excerpt: On the new Battlestar Galactica
show: "Why are they so willing to risk so
much when they could create a win/win situation
by honoring the original show and at the same
time add new and exciting elements that would
update the story and premise?"
[This is not a Battlestar
Galactica project.] Richard Hatch is still
seeking CG (computer generated 3D art) artists
and animators to participate on special effects
scenes for his The Great War of Magellan
sci-fi trailer - official site at greatwarofmagellan.com
Richard is asking for artists/animators who 1.) work
in 3D Studio Max and 2.) are able to composite and animate
well. Work on the project would be done pro bono (without
compensation), although the work could be cited within
one's professional portfolio. Interested individuals
should send an e-mail to: webmaster@battlestargalactica.com
Please include your contact information, including telephone
number (with best times to call). If possible, please
provide a web address with samples of your work, whether
stills or animations.
Ask Richard your questions
about his past, present and future work! See
our online submission form for details.
